Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in various facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment to ensure effective floor care
- Strip, seal, wax, and buff floors as needed
- Conduct carpet cleaning and spot removal
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with general commercial cleaning tasks as required
Skills:
- Proven experience in floor care and maintenance
- Knowledge of environmental services and custodial practices
- Familiarity with various types of flooring materials and their specific care requirements
- Ability to operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas that require special attention or repairs
- Excellent time management skills to ensure completion of tasks within designated timeframes
